Vikings’ leading receiver donates tickets to the Globetrotters’ game!
With the NFL Draft on the horizon, the World Famous Harlem Globetrotters had an addition of their own at their game in the Target Center on April 10, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Minnesota Vikings receiver Bobby Wade, the team’s leading receiver the past two seasons, joined the Globetrotters during the widely popular “Globetrotter Football” portion of the show.
Wade, a sixth-year pro entering his third season with the Vikings, donated over 100 tickets to the Salvation Army and area Twin Cities youth through the Wade Family Foundation. The Wade Family Foundation was created with the purpose and intent of offering children and families the opportunity to learn, play, and experience the important lessons taught through athletics.

This is the second straight year a Viking’s performance with the Globetrotters will be featured on the popular Fox Sport North program. Last year, “Vikings Weekly” chronicled the day Vikings All-Pro defensive tackle Pat Williams spent with the Globetrotters. Now in their 83rd consecutive season of touring the world, the Harlem Globetrotters have played in 120 countries on six continents, entertaining over 128 million fans and crossing barriers between cultures, societies and people from all walks of life. Wade Family Foundation All Star Shirt Give-A-Way

Starting March 25, 2009 the Wade foundation will be giving away All Star 2009 t-shirts to kids under the age of eighteen. We hope by doing this, children across our community will be able to have their own part of All Star 2009 Phoenix, AZ. Together we can make tomorrow brighter for the children of Arizona.
It has been over a month since All Star Weekend 2009 and the city of Phoenix and surrounding areas are still buzzing from the events that made it a special time. The social and economic impacts will positively benefit the Phoenix area and the state of Arizona for years to come. In addition, youth throughout the area were able to experience moments that they will cherish for the rest of their lives.
However, sadly enough there are kids in Phoenix, through no fault of their own, who were unable to experience the joy and excitement the game and events brought to the area. The Wade Foundation hopes to change this for thousands of kids across the Greater Phoenix community.
